-Aluminum (pictured): lightweight, 12 gauge thickness, won't tarnish, silver in color
-Brass and Copper: heavier than aluminum, 14 gauge, will patina over time, can be cleaned with "sunshine polish cloth" if you don't like the patina look
-Sterling silver: more valuable metal, medium weight, 16 gauge, will tarnish over time, can be cleaned with a "sunshine polish cloth"
-The smaller the number in gauges, the thicker the metal.
